Couisnard comes back to Al Wasl, ex Al Arabi

Jay Couisnard

Al Wasl Dubai (ULB) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American forward Jay Couisnard (198-88, college: UMKC). He joins another USA player Elijah Robinson who is already in the roster.
It is actually Couisnard's comeback to Dubai as he has played here before. He played last season at Al Arabi in Qatari D1 league. Couisnard also played for Al Hilal (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league.
Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Couisnard has played previously professionally in France (La Rochelle), United Kingdom (Worcester Wolves) and Saudi Arabia (Al Nasr).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Saudi Arabia League in 2017. Couisnard was also voted Eurobasket.com All-British BBL 2nd Team back in 2014.
He attended University of Missouri - Kansas City until 2012 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Athletic small forward, his versatility allows him to play the 2 through 4. He is explosive off the dribble and off the boards and is well known for his dunking ability. He has quick hands and aggressive. He is a student of the game, team leader and a consistent scorer with good 3pt range.
